Kedi & Jake workshops combine interactive storytelling, movement, games, and hands-on activities to help children ages 2–5 explore kindness, cooperation, honesty, and thoughtful choices.
Children do more than listen. They participate, practice, and connect each lesson to their everyday lives.
More Than a Read-Aloud
Young children understand important ideas best when they can experience them not only hear about them.
Each Kedi & Jake workshop moves children from story to action.
During the program, children may answer story prompts, move and pretend, identify positive choices,
and complete a simple hands-on activity.
The result is an engaging learning experience designed for the attention spans, energy levels, and developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers.

Interactive workshop for ages 2–5
Approximately 30–35 minutes
Through an interactive Kedi & Jake story, movement, discussion, and a playful helping activity, children explore what kindness looks like in everyday situations.
Children will practice:

Connecting the story to home and classroom situations
The workshop may include a simple take-home activity so families can continue practicing kindness after the program.

Meet Lisa Perlstein
Lisa Perlstein is a play-based learning designer, children’s author, and educator.
Drawing on years of university teaching, research, and program development experience, she creates thoughtfully structured, play-based learning experiences for young children.
Her workshops use stories, movement, conversation, and hands-on activities to help toddlers and preschoolers explore important values in ways they can understand and practice.
Lisa is based in Atlanta. Her first Kedi & Jake book, Meet Kedi & Jake: A Story About Love and Kindness, introduces young children to kindness through story and play.
